Children and social responsibility

The very recent loss of a none-month old baby gave rise to a number of reactions. While still waiting for a reliable official version of facts, the whole sad episode brings to mind the issue of responsible parenthood and the duty to protect and safeguard children, especially those who are very vulnerable.

Reaching out

I'm just watching aTV programme where youngstres are discussing many important issues: drugs, values, marriage, norms, etc. As happens most often, in Malta there is criticism against youths because adults and older people generally feel that they are leading a valueless society - this reminds me of Durkheim's 'anomie'.
